"Blackout" (2024), directed by Larry Fessenden, centers around Charley Barrett, portrayed by Alex Hurt, who believes he is a werewolf. Set in the small town of Talbot Falls, Charley struggles with blackouts that align with a series of gruesome murders occurring under the full moon. As a recovering alcoholic and a troubled artist, his past misdeeds have already strained his relationships, particularly with his ex-girlfriend Sharon (Addison Timlin).Charley is increasingly convinced that he is responsible for the killings. This leads him to seek out help from various townspeople, including Pastor Francis and Earl, who provides him with silver bullets. Meanwhile, local cop Alice (Ella Rae Peck) and her partner Luis (Joseph Castillo-Midyett) investigate the murders, finding animal fur at crime scenes and discussing philosophical ideas about perception and reality .The movie intertwines themes of addiction, self-reflection, and societal fear. It features tense moments, particularly between Charley and corrupt businessman Hammond (Marshall Bell), who tries to scapegoat Miguel (Rigo Garay) for the murders.
